Romans Four

Now the 'founder' of the Jewish people is Ibrahim.
What makes him great?
Was it because he never did anything wrong?
Due to his riches and power?
No, we remember him today because he trusted his creator,
He never wavered.
His decedent King David also knew this.
He said,
"What joy for those who know their wrong doings is forgiven;
Put out of sight;
Knowing that their debt before the creator is cleared."

So is this gift only for one group of people?
Remember Ibrahim lived long before our ways of doing things were created.
His life was much closer to those of other ethnicities about us.
We hold him up because of his strong bond with his creator.

Trying to be a good person is one thing, but we know we will fail.
Set the bar really low if you like success!
Against the odds Ibrahim believed that the promises in his life would come to pass.
He and his wife were old, and yet they still had a child,
Who went on to create many nations.

Ibrahim did this to inspire us to also have faith,
To trust that our creator has made a way to restore all relationships.
We believe and trust in our maker, and that Jesus is our friend;
Who was destroyed by our wickedness,
But was raid to life, and is the victor over death.
