And so we came to Rome. 15 The brothers and sisters there had heard that we were coming, and they traveled as far as the Forum of Appius and the Three Taverns to meet us. At the sight of these people Paul thanked God and was encouraged. 16 When we got to Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself, with a soldier to guard him. Acts 28

The mighty Roman Empire.  It is a wonderful thing that the seat of the worlds largest church is and has been for centuries, in Rome.  The kingdom of Jesus is not like the kingdoms of this world.  This is what the Jewish protestors in London at a Gaza demonstration also said.  The kingdom of God is not about might and control.  It is a different sort of power, rooted in love, community, and worship of the Creator.

Prayer:  May Italy continue to be a place that supports the truth of the Gospel to go out to the whole world.
