See some beautiful photos on Lucy and Stephen blog (and Henry the dog). Thank you also for the Thames Water leaflet

A description of all green spaces in London
Or what about the London Gardens Trust?
Shall we turn it into a real day out? 4.7 miles from Millennium Bridge to Clissold Park Tea shop.
Stories along the way?
1) To the left of the Millennium Bridge on the north bank once stood Baynards Castle.
2) I remember the bombed out buildings around St Pauls which provided free city centre parking for a while. St Bartholomew the Greater, an amazing Norman church. Order of St John, a great place to learn about Malta (Order - not Society, which is something different). St James Church, with a plaque on a wall denoting the spot Percy Bysshe Shelley, Clare Claremont and Mary Godwin eloped to France.
3) Have a look at Cherkenwell Prison.
4) What about Islington Museum which opened in 2008. The bust of Lenin, who lived in Islington, seem to be the most impressive site! (er sight?)
5) See the Regent Canal- It too has a museum.
6) Visit St Mary's Islington. Up the road is New Unity Church. This is a non-religious church, and interestingly was formed from a schism from the Unitarians. Even sects have sects.
Interesting to note also that St Marks Church Clerkenwell was built on water board land. It is very close the site of the end of the New River, which is still has a Thames Water depot.
