The Color of Joy by Michael Durst fineartamerica.com
Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people;
praise his holy name.
5For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favour lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
Psalm 30:4
As all things have a beginning, middle and end, so does suffering. It may be here now, but it is not for ever. Nothing is forever in this world. Joy can live with suffering. Joy is the characteristic of those who live with their creator. We may not have a single word in common, but I recognise my fellow sibling in creation through the shared experience of joy.
