Middle Class Beach

Females Voices
"How's your mother? Does she still do Tai Chi?"
"Not anymore, she's got problems with her knee."

"I still visit her weekly having taken her place at the class,
I then pop in to see her and we 'chat' over a glass."

Male Voices
"There was excitement at the prospect of acquiring Sowerby's at last,
Then the forecasts were published and the board's enthusiasm faded fast."

We are walking across the great expanse of Holkham Beach.

What makes this a 'Middle Class' space?

The land is divided on invisible sectarian grounds, much like Northern Ireland.

It's shifting land- very solid, clear, uncluttered at the moment.
Then it changes and become unpredictable - threatening floods.

This is a land fit only for refugees.
