32 As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. Matthew 27
This is a map of Tripoli, and the cross sits over the churches (catholic and protestant). The synagogue is there but a ruin. We know so little about Simon. What was his attitude to carrying the cross? Was he picked on because he appeared to be there to support Jesus? Why was he in Jerusalem?
All we know is that like Jesus, we must take up our cross, and follow him. It is the way it is, and there is no way out of it.
PRAYER: We pray for peace and stability for the people of Libya.
