Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration.

But my people do not know the requirements of the Lord.

Julian Bagini in his book 'How the World Thinks' notes that western philosophy focused on the dispassionate 'Truth'.  In the East the focus is on 'The Way'.  Jesus described himself as 'The Way, The Truth and The Life.'  Animals seem to know what they are about, but humans seem to struggle to find meaning.
